June 10th- AMFICO’S CSR BLOOD DONATION CAMP

Organizations are known not just for its Leadership and Teams but also for its Culture. Our Culture is driven by very strong Value Systems bordering around innovation, social responsibility, (WIN-WIN-WIN orientation) employee - customer and organization win. A nurturing and mentoring culture towards employees as well as constantly striving to serve responsibly towards the society.

As part of our CSR, we held a voluntary blood donation camp among our employees. The camp was done in support of Masina Hospital a reputable Parsi Charitable Trust in Mumbai. Driven by our fierce Team Leader @Sachin Khamkar, this camp was held at ALL HUB and the Corporate Office.

Close to 60 % of total employee count, voluntarily donated their blood for this noble cause. The first drive held at Masina Hospital, the second at our depot ALL HUB to help achieve this success rate!

Words are never enough to say ‘THANK YOU’ to all those who donated their blood. The gift of blood is a gift to someone's life!

July 29th 2022- AMFICO- A WATER WARRIOR

“Save every drop of water” PM Modi emphasised on water conversation in his monthly ‘Mann Ki Baat’ broadcast on March 27th 2022.

During our scorching summer - mid March / April we start falling short of fresh water in pockets all over the country. During this period of fresh water deficit, people and animals have to travel miles to fulfil their requirements.

India is fortunate to get 3-4 months (June – September) of medium to heavy rain, during this period. It is water, water everywhere but not a drop to drink……. In the true sense a large quantity of rain water is not well harvested or conserved. We annually witness floods at one end of the spectrum and deficit at the other.

Efforts by conservationist like Pond man and other have helped create water holes for people and animals alike and helped rejuvenate barren land masses into areas adorned by flora and fauna.

#Amfico decided this year to be a #WaterWarrior in its own way. The team at our depot #ALLHUB in Nhava Sheva has targeted to harvest 2million litres of fresh water during the 2022 monsoons.

We have currently achieved 325000 litres and have utilised / re-cycled 100000 litres internally. It is putting less pressure on our softener plant as the hardness is between 50 ppm to 70 ppm and the quality of water is apt for our LPG fired boilers and rotor jets used at our depot.

Our team of brilliant engineers have connected the roof-tops of our depot #ALLHUB to a small fleet of our domesticated ISO Tanks and are monitoring the project on a daily basis. The team is confident that if the rain gods are with us we will not only achieve the target but surpass it comfortably.

We are hoping with this endeavour to help instil the philosophy of #recycle, #reuse and #harvest natural resources of nature.

Our depot has started this initiative and we are happy to offer our surplus water collection to nearby industries, villages and factories.
